The Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir went so far as to visit actually powerplants and sample sounds to create her score for the amazing HBO series ‘Chernobyl”. As a composer and cellist, she has worked with amazing directors and composers and has a voice her own in today’s very busy composer world.
Hildur explains, “I wanted to experience what it feels like to be inside a power plant,” she states. “Trying to make music out of a story — most of it is about listening.”
Here is some video from her recent guest spot on Score The Podcast;
Hildur is quite the personality and did an amazing job scoring the HBO series that details the horrible events that lead to and after the terrible Chernobyl disaster.
