Hildur Guðnadóttir hits a strikes a new chord with ‘Chernobyl’

The Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir went so far as to visit actually powerplants and sample sounds to create her score for the amazing HBO series ‘Chernobyl”. As a composer and cellist, she has worked with amazing directors and composers and has a voice her own in today’s very busy composer world.

Hildur explains, “I wanted to experience what it feels like to be inside a power plant,” she states. “Trying to make music out of a story — most of it is about listening.”

Hildur is quite the personality and did an amazing job scoring the HBO series that details the horrible events that lead to and after the terrible Chernobyl disaster.
